Wonderful Counselor
I'll be thy parent's counsel —
I'll mend thy broken home
When turmoil rips relationships
And words cut to the bone.
I'll take their broken marriage
That's shattered by divorce,
And give thee hope and peace and scope
To take another course.
I'm there when thou art lonely;
Just ask — I'll fill the void.
When one mate leaves, the other grieves —
Yet both lives are destroyed.
I'll be thy children's mentor —
And show them what is sin;
What's wrong and right in black and white —
Where boundaries begin.
I've given them examples
Of saints within My Word;
Yet given thee that they might see
A faith that's seen and heard.
If thou would raise thy children
And ground them in My truth,
They'll grow and yet they'll not forget
The training of their youth.
I'll mend thy broken home
When turmoil rips relationships
And words cut to the bone.
I'll take their broken marriage
That's shattered by divorce,
And give thee hope and peace and scope
To take another course.

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.
