Refuge
I am a ready refuge —
Within a weary land;
Have faith in Me to cover thee
And shield thee with My Hand.
Like water in the desert,
An island in the sea,
A harbor from thy grief to come
And past adversity.
I know thy thoughts and feelings;
I understand thy fears.
Call out to Me, I’ll answer thee
When all hope disappears.
I am a healing haven —
A place of peace and rest.
Cast off thy fears and dry thy tears
And put Me to the test.
Mount up with wings like eagles!
For those who wait on Me
Shall race the wind, yet won’t begin
To slow down, breathlessly.
They’ll run and not grow weary;
They’ll walk and shall not faint.
Their strength renewed and lives imbued
With power without restraint.
