Psalm 24
A psalm of David.
The earth is the LORD's, as is everything in it;
the world and its nations of people who spin it.
He founded the earth on the sea's endless fountain,
established and built on the ocean's great base.
Has any a right to ascend the LORD's mountain?
Would any dare stand up in his holy place?
The one with clean hands, whose heart needs no confessing;
delighting in neither false idols nor lies.
For he shall receive from Jehovah his blessing;
considered as righteous in God's holy eyes.
In this generation they seek with persistence
the God served by Jacob — they're seeking your face.
Selah [Interlude]
O gates, lift your heads! Ancient doors, less resistance!
The glorious King will come in through your space.
This glorious King? He's the LORD, strong and mighty,
the LORD, who's invincible, mighty in war!
O gates, lift your heads! Ancient doors, lift up lightly!
The glorious King will come in through your door.
This glorious King? He's the LORD fighting for me;
as LORD of the Armies and King of great glory.
