Psalm 69:30-31; 1 Timothy 6:17; Isaiah 45:9; Psalm 103:14
I don’t desire any sacrifice given —
just that you’d love me, alone.
Nor want I offerings lifted to heaven —
only that I would be known.
Noah, whose love and great faith gave me pleasure,
built me a boat on dry land.
Love me with heart, soul and mind — without measure.
That is my greatest command.
Sing me a new song of praise and thanksgiving;
shout and rejoice in my name.
Have I not given the world for your living?
Yet, I am often to blame.
How can you argue with me, your creator?
What in the world would you say?
No jar would ask of the potter that made her:
Why did you make me this way?
You are my pleasure — what are you afraid of?
Am I not holy and just?
I know exactly what you have been made of —
My hands are covered in dust.
just that you’d love me, alone.
Nor want I offerings lifted to heaven —
only that I would be known.
