Surrender yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ,
submit to his ultimate ways;
present him your body to be sacrificed —
your ultimate worship and praise.
You cannot serve God while you also love gold —
desires for each are at odds.
You’ve only one master — how’s your life controlled?
As money’s creation or God’s?
Remember, God loved us before our first breath —
before our first sin was transgressed:
a love that condemned his own son to his death,
providing grace ere we confessed.
Whoever would follow him, take up your cross,
denying your cares for his sake.
If living for him, then remember the costs;
if dying, forget not the stakes.
