Based on the scriptures found in The Purpose-Driven Life – Day 2

I’ve Known You Forever

Based on Ephesians 1:4; Psalm 139:15-16; Acts 17:26-27; Isaiah 46:3-4
I’ve known you forever — before you were made.
Before the foundations of earth had been laid;
before any oceans or lands were defined,
I numbered the beats of your heart I designed.

I made you in secret — in your mother’s womb;
I formed you in love by the light of the moon.
Before you inhaled the first breath that you took,
I numbered the days of your life in my book.

All nations — all peoples — I’ve made every one;
I know every footstep and deed that’s been done.
I want you to want me whoever you are.
Endeavor to find me — I’m not very far.

You’ve been in my arms since the day of your birth;
I’ll carry you home when you leave from this earth.
I am your creator — your purpose is mine.
I’ve known you forever and loved you since time.

Ephesians 1:4a (Msg)
Long before he laid down earth’s foundation, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love.
Psalm 139:15 (Msg)
You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.

Psalm 139:16 (LB)
You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe.  Every day was recorded in your Book!
Acts 17:26-27 (NIV)
From one man he made every nation, . . . and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
Isaiah 46:3-4 (NCV)
I have carried you since you were born; I have taken care of you from your birth.  Even when you are old, I will be the same.  Even when your hair has turned gray, I will take care of you.  I made you and will take care of you.
