For all things created in heaven and earth,
and everything hidden or shown;
in spite of dominions — from battle or birth —
regardless of ruler or throne;
for all of creation, from Eden to now,
is by him and through him — alone.
For we were selected — before life began,
before earth’s foundations were laid —
to share in — according to his perfect plan —
his glory that never will fade.
So, this was God’s wisdom: once hidden from man,
revealed now — his purpose displayed.
