You and Me in Him are We
Based on Hebrews 2:10; Ephesians 1:5; 1 Peter 1:3; Galatians 4:7; Ephesians 1:18; 1 Peter 1:4; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Matthew 12:49-50
Welcome to the family!
God's made you for his pleasure.
He's made us all and longs to call
us children that he'll treasure.
He's always planned adoption
to bring us all together;
though born of men, when born again,
you'll be God's child, forever.
Since you've become his child,
just look what you've been given:
his hope and grace to help you face
the world till you reach heaven.
Adoption grants a birthright
of riches you'll inherit;
kept undefiled for every child
that is not based on merit.
Though Jewish-born or Gentile:
baptized in Christ — we're blameless.
Enslaved or freed, we're his indeed;
one Spirit overcame us.
Said Christ of his disciples,
these men and any other:
as they fulfill my Father's will,
so I become their brother.
