Psalm 61
For the director of music. With stringed instruments. Of David.
Hear my cry, God; attend to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth do I cry;
as my heart grows more faint, lead me there,
to the rock that is higher than I.
A safe refuge have you been to me;
from my foes to your tower, I cling.
In your tent let my life ever be,
and find shelter beneath your spread wing.
Selah [Interlude]
You have heard, God, the vows that I've prayed;
I've been blessed as those showing you fear.
Let more years to the king's life be made,
so, his life goes on year after year.
May he reign before God evermore;
keep your mercy and love over him.
Then my praise for you ever will soar;
my fullfillment of vows never dim.
Hear my cry, God; attend to my prayer.
From the ends of the earth do I cry;
as my heart grows more faint, lead me there,
to the rock that is higher than I.
A safe refuge have you been to me;
from my foes to your tower, I cling.
In your tent let my life ever be,
and find shelter beneath your spread wing.
Selah [Interlude]
You have heard, God, the vows that I've prayed;
I've been blessed as those showing you fear.
Let more years to the king's life be made,
so, his life goes on year after year.
May he reign before God evermore;
keep your mercy and love over him.
Then my praise for you ever will soar;
my fullfillment of vows never dim.
