Psalm 153
A Psalm of Israel's Promised Restoration
Ezekiel 36:25-28
I long for you to cleanse my soul —
come, sprinkle water over me;
o, wash my filth and make me whole,
and take these idols — set me free.
Remove from me this heart of stone
and give me, Lord, a heart of flesh;
a heart that beats for you, alone,
and yearns to know your righteousness.
And place your spirit, Lord, in me
in spite of all my sin and flaws,
that I may follow your decree
and carry out your perfect laws.
For I will dwell within the land
you gave my people long ago;
you are my God — please take my hand
and never ever let me go.
come, sprinkle water over me;
o, wash my filth and make me whole,
and take these idols — set me free.
Remove from me this heart of stone
and give me, Lord, a heart of flesh;
a heart that beats for you, alone,
and yearns to know your righteousness.
And place your spirit, Lord, in me
in spite of all my sin and flaws,
that I may follow your decree
and carry out your perfect laws.
For I will dwell within the land
you gave my people long ago;
you are my God — please take my hand
and never ever let me go.
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean;
I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;
I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors;
you will be my people, and I will be your God.
Ezekiel 36:25-28

I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.
Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors;
you will be my people, and I will be your God.
