Psalm 14
For the director of music. Of David.
The foolish will say in their heart,
There is no God under the sun.
They're evil and vile and depraved in their guile;
there's none that are good, no not one.
From heaven, the LORD gazes down
upon the entire human race;
to see with his eyes just if any are wise,
if any seek after God's grace.
But everyone's turned their own way;
together, corrupted, as one.
The LORD is resigned that he'll never will find
a good one among them, bar none.
Will those who love evil not learn?
They eat up my people like bread.
Their lips are profane and take God's name in vain,
yet seek not the LORD's name instead.
But they will be panicked with fear,
for God is with those who obey.
The wicked will test, and they'll hound the oppressed;
the LORD is their refuge and stay.
That Israel's salvation would come
by way of Mount Zion's lone voice!
Whenever the LORD has his people restored,
let Jacob and Isr'el rejoice!
The foolish will say in their heart,
There is no God under the sun.
They're evil and vile and depraved in their guile;
there's none that are good, no not one.
From heaven, the LORD gazes down
