Lord We Thank You

Lord we thank You for each day,
For the brightness of the sun,
For the food given us to eat,
And for the work that's to be done.

For the privilege of prayer
From which we gain our strength and power
To lighten many a weary heart
In a dark and dreary hour.

Lord we thank You for the rainbow,
For each flower and for each song,
And for the hand of dear and loved ones
Who so kindly help us along.

Lord we thank You for the blessings
You have given us on our way,
And we thank You for the gift
Of each bright and happy day.
