God, the Father of Wisdom

Seek counsel, my son,
As great men have done,
Yet cautious from whom you receive it.
Trust not all you hear,
Nor as things appear,
Do nothing until you explore it.
But carefully weigh
Whatever men say
        Remembering ere you believe it.
The wisdom you seek,
Of which many speak,
Is found is the Father who bore it.
