Based on the scriptures found in The Purpose-Driven Life – Day 28

God’s Perfect Seasons

Based on Ecclesiastes 3:1; Philippians 1:6; Hebrews 2:1;
1 Timothy 4:15; James 1:4; Habakkuk 2:3
For all things — there are reasons
Though you may question some
But in God’s perfect seasons
God’s purpose will be done

God’s grace will not diminish
While there is work to do
What joy that day you finish
The task he’s given you

Don’t quit things prematurely
God has the end in sight
By giving up too early
You’ll never see God’s might

And practice Christ-like living
Hold firm to your belief
For what the world is giving
Will only bring you grief

God isn’t in a hurry
Nor is he out of time
Have patience — do not worry
His schedule is divine

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (CEV)
Everything on earth has its own time and its own season.
Philippians 1:6 (LB)
I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.
Hebrews 2:1 (Msg)
It’s crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we’ve heard so that we don’t drift off.
1 Timothy 4:15 (GWT)
Practice these things.  Devote your life to them so that everyone can see your progress.
James 1:4 (Msg)
Don’t try to get out of anything prematurely.  Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed.
Habakkuk 2:3 (LB)
These things I plan won’t happen right away.  Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled.  If it seems slow, do not despair, for these things will surely come to pass.  Just be patient!  They will not be overdue a single day!
