Sacrificial Worship

O, cherish the Lord God with all of your heart,
with all of your soul and your mind;
as best as you can — for that is the man
and worshiper God seeks to find.
Be grateful in worshiping God in a way
that's honest and pure and sincere.
We only see skin — but God looks within
and knows every heartache and fear.
Submit, then, yourself as a live sacrifice
that's holy and pleasing and right;
for this is, in fact, your spiritual act
of worship and awe in his sight.
For how can you offer him anything less
than all that you possibly can?
And what is your cost compared with the cross
and scars that he bears in each hand?
