Another year has passed our way

Another year has passed our way,
Thanksgiving’s just behind us.
Ahead of us lies Christmas Day,
An advent that will find us
With open hearts — so full of joy
To usher in the season.
A time that man cannot destroy
By warfare, age, or reason.
