Vacation '97
I need a small vacation —
I just got back from mine.
With all the fun and things we’d done,
I’d no time to unwind.
We traveled to Daytona —
We heard they had a beach.
We found some land with lots of sand
And water within reach.
The great Atlantic Ocean —
A thousand miles from home.
Though rather wet — I’ve one regret:
It’s full of salt and foam.
We found a magic kingdom
That’s run by giant mice.
I didn’t mind they robbed me blind —
The kids said it was nice.
This kingdom had a castle
With Happy Birthday signs.
The whole world knew of this place, too —
We met them in the lines.
I dropped and cracked my camera —
Cement can be so hard!
To make amends I bought a lens —
Again, the credit card!
The drive’s another story
That you don’t want to hear.
But all I know — what Ford should know —
The backseat’s far too near.
I need a small vacation —
I’m sunburned, broke, and stressed.
Thank goodness for Wayne-Dalton Door
‘Cause I could use the rest.
