Psalm 138
A psalm of David.
I will give you my thanks, LORD, with all of my heart,
and will sing before gods with your praise to impart.
I will bow down and worship at your holy place,
for your unfailing love I'll give thanks to your name;
for your faithfulness, truthfulness, kindness and grace;
for your word's so exalted, surpassing your fame.
On the day that I called you, you answered and came;
and my soul — it was strengthened, emboldened indeed.
All the kings of the earth will be praising your name,
when they hear all the words that your mouth has decreed.
May they sing of the ways of the LORD that are sure,
for Jehovah's great glory cannot be constrained.
Though the LORD is exalted, he's kind to the poor,
but remains far away from the proud and the vain.
Although I am surrounded by troubles and woe,
LORD, revive and replenish my vitality;
stretch your hand, LORD, against all the wrath of my foe,
for your powerful right hand shall liberate me.
For Jehovah, in me, will accomplish his plan;
LORD, your mercy and faithfulness ever will stand;
don't forsake or abandon the works of your hand.
I will give you my thanks, LORD, with all of my heart,
and will sing before gods with your praise to impart.
I will bow down and worship at your holy place,
for your unfailing love I'll give thanks to your name;
for your faithfulness, truthfulness, kindness and grace;
