Psalm 103
A Psalm of David
Oh, bless the LORD, O my soul — all that's within me,
for his name is holy and worthy of praise.
Oh, bless the LORD, O my soul — never forgetting
his marvelous deeds and his wonderful ways;
the one who's forgiving your sins and transgressions,
and healing diseases your soul's dying of,
redeeming your life from the pit of destruction,
and crowning your head with compassionate love;
who fills your desires with good things; renewing
your youth like the eagle that leaps from the nest!
The LORD performs righteousness, mercy and justice,
and executes judgement for people oppressed.
He made known his ways and revealed them to Moses,
his deeds to the children of Isr'el — renowned.
The LORD is compassionate, gracious in mercy,
and his lovingkindness will ever abound.
He'll not always chide, nor be angry forever;
nor deal with our sin near as harsh or severe.
As great as the distance between earth and heaven,
so, he loves those showing him reverent fear.
As far as the distance that east is from west is,
so far he's removed our transgressions and sin.
The LORD's like a father who pities his children;
he shows his compassion to those who fear him.
For he knows our frame: we, by dust were created;
our days on the earth are like flowers that bloom.
When scorched winds pass over, as flowers, we wither;
forever forgotten, we're wholly consumed.
The love of the LORD is forever and ever,
to those who would fear him, and their children's seed;
to those who are faithful in keeping his promise;
to those who obey his commandments, indeed.
The LORD has established his throne in the heavens,
his sovereignty rules over all he has made.
Oh, bless the LORD, angels — you're worthy and mighty;
fulfilling his word, and his word is obeyed.
Oh, bless the LORD, angels and armies of angels,
his ministers serving and doing his will.
Oh, bless the LORD — everything he has created,
let all that I am bless the LORD, my soul, still.
Oh, bless the LORD, O my soul — all that's within me,
for his name is holy and worthy of praise.
Oh, bless the LORD, O my soul — never forgetting
