Psalm 101
A Psalm of David
I will sing of your mercy and justice;
LORD, I'll praise you in song endlessly.
I'll be mindful to keep my life blameless —
O LORD, when will you come unto me?
I'll conduct my affairs, LORD, with virtue,
and I'll walk through my house without guile.
I will not look at things that are worthless,
nor view anything vulgar or vile.
I detest what the faithless are doing;
of their scheming ways, I'll have no part.
I'll reject their perverted ideas,
and won't let evil lurk in my heart.
I'll cut off those who slander their neighbor,
and will silence their secretive lies.
I won't suffer the scornful and haughty,
nor the ones who have pride in their eyes.
I will search for those faithful companions
to advise me with integrity;
those who walk in the ways of perfection
are the ones that I'll have serving me.
Those who practice deceit and the liars
will not live in my house with their lies;
those who utter half-truths and speak falsely
will not prosper nor last in my eyes.
Every morning I'll silence the wicked,
and remove them from out of the land;
I'll expel evil ones from the city
of the LORD with the force of my hand.
I will sing of your mercy and justice;
I detest what the faithless are doing;
of their scheming ways, I'll have no part.
I'll reject their perverted ideas,
and won't let evil lurk in my heart.
I'll cut off those who slander their neighbor,
and will silence their secretive lies.
I won't suffer the scornful and haughty,
nor the ones who have pride in their eyes.
I will search for those faithful companions
to advise me with integrity;
those who walk in the ways of perfection
are the ones that I'll have serving me.
Those who practice deceit and the liars
will not live in my house with their lies;
those who utter half-truths and speak falsely
will not prosper nor last in my eyes.
Every morning I'll silence the wicked,
and remove them from out of the land;
I'll expel evil ones from the city
of the LORD with the force of my hand.
